STREET HAIKERS PROCESSION THROUGH VILLAGE

Saturday 18th July

The street parade went ahead as planned & proved to be a great success despite the wind & rain.
The proceedings literally started with plenty of smoke & a bang with Ghouls, Ghosts & Ghostbusters parading through the streets of the village to sombre music. They paraded down Loch Street, Seafield Street, Reidhaven Street, Ogilvie Street, Chapel Street, back down Loch Street & Wilson Crescent, Forbes Road & School Street before turning into the football playing field.
The audience were then treated to a firework display & mock dancing from the performers. All culminating in a witch-hunt of the Ghouls as the Ghostbusters went for the jugular.
A fantastic turnout of locals saw the show. I estimated in excess of 300  people were present, many following the procession. It was pleasing to see so many parents & children.
Theatre Modo have done a super job over the past month or so & everything went very well. The youngsters were also fantastic & credit to all of them for a wonderful show.
Thanks to all who took part, including Grampian Police & the Stewards for ensuring a safe event.
